Wow! I can't believe it has already
been a year since I decided to begin
Typing Bug VA Services. I had no
idea there would be so much to learn.
It still amazes me what I have been
able to accomplish over this past year. From designing my website to setting up my social networking sites to marketing my services, it has definitely been an educational experience.
Happy Birthday
Client Bonding with Newsletters
by Dan Janal
I recently signed up at the Done for You Giveaway that was sponsored by Ready2Go Marketing. I signed for quite a few of the offerings and was totally surprised when I received an email stating I had won one of the prizes. A professional interview package through Let's Get Real Marketing (value $250). The package gave me the chance to talk to master marketer Rosey Dow about my business so she could showcase me and help transform my prospects into customers. For 10 full minutes, the two of us discussed my business and how my business was unique in the marketplace, then she delivered the mp3 recordings for my use.  This was a fabulous experience (even if I was major nervous and tried not to say "uh" every third word). If you would like to have Rosy conduct a professional interview with you, feel free to contact her at roseydow@roseydow.com and tell her the Typing Bug sent you.

Recommendation on
"I just have to tell my friends about a local lady who saved me about $600 this month because she helped me do some business related secretarial work, so I was able to concentrate on my business and produce that amount in income.  She is very skilled at all sorts of office work, and she is a virtual assistant, meaning that she can assist you in various ways by doing things that often take up a lot of your time which would ordinarily be used on your business. She is lightning fast, and her prices are very reasonable."
Everyone is always asking me what websites do I recommend or use to write my newsletters, tweets, posts, etc.  There are lots of websites that I come in contact with daily and I am always on the lookout for ones that will make my life easier. I found a website that allows me to share my links with everyone. It is urlist (http://urli.st/). You can make a collection of weblinks and share them all in one go. It is super easy to setup. Just enter the web address of your favorite link and it automatically pulls in the name of the website for you.

Here is my list of favorite sites:  http://urli.st/zNv

As I was creating my webpage for my birthday blast, I reflected on the highlights over this past year. The main thing that stood out was how many new friends that I now have.  When I first started, I signed up on VANetworking's Forum and met some wonderful virtual assistants (some of which were as new to this as me). We started talking and helping each other with various tasks and before long, we were really good friends. I started making a list of these virtual assistants along with some others that are in similar industries and now I have an awesome network of professional women that I know are there for me no matter what and they know that I am there for them as well.

All of these women are wonderful but I did want to take a moment and say a special thank you to

Highlights From The Past Year
Mentoring Program Update
My mentoring program for new virtual assistants is doing well. My introductory period of offering the program free for 30 days was very well received.  I was able to offer this to a number of beginning virtual assistants and it is so rewarding seeing how their businesses have progressed. Now that my program is established, I will be starting to charge for the mentoring. Don't worry, I still kept it very affordable. As much as it sounds like a life insurance commercial, for as little as $1/day you can have unlimited help for your virtual assistant business for 30 days. If you are interested in finding out more information, click here or email me.
Miss Your Old Typewriter?
Lovers of the look, feel, and quality of old fashioned manual typewriters can now use them as keyboards for any USB-capable computer.  When I saw this on the internet a few days ago, I just couldn't resist telling my readers about it.
This is the coolest thing ... out
of my price range but way cool.
